The light is shifting and there’s a fresh bite in the air, but the "Indian Summer" afternoons on the deck aren't over just yet. As we transition into April, our glasses are moving toward wines with a bit more texture and soul—think stone-fruit driven Chardonnays, savory Rosés, and those "crunchy" reds like Pinot Noir and chilled Grenache that pair perfectly with the season's final harvest salads.
And because there is always a reason to celebrate the change of season: our bubbles are chilled and ready, from elegant Champagne to zesty Crémant.
Come and join us every Friday from 4 to 6 pm to taste wines from our vineyard of the month from Waiheke plus some local food producers.

Not keen on carrying a box of bottles back to your home or holiday accommodation?
We offer island-wide delivery from Matiatia to Rocky Bay and Onetangi, Monday to Friday. Simply visit us in store, shop online, or give us a call to place your order. Orders received before 11am are usually delivered the same afternoon!
As we’re delivering alcohol, someone 18+ or older will need to receive the order.

Winery of the Month
TE MOTU
Te Motu Vineyard is one of Waiheke Island’s pioneering wineries, established in 1988 by the Dunleavy family, who planted their first vines a year later and released their first vintage in 1993. Developed from 30 acres in the Onetangi Valley, the estate helped shape the island’s early reputation for premium winemaking, with a clear focus from the outset on producing high-quality, age-worthy wines inspired by classic Bordeaux traditions.
The vineyard is best known for its structured, Bordeaux-style red blends, typically based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, alongside varieties like Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Its flagship wine is a Cabernet-dominant blend designed for long ageing, while other labels offer more approachable, fruit-forward Merlot-led styles; the estate also produces Syrah. Overall, Te Motu’s wines emphasise balance, terroir expression, and the ability to develop complexity over time.

Our Waiheke Store
Located in the main town and heart of Waiheke Island, Oneroa, our store is a must-visit for anyone coming to the island. Our full range of Wine, Beer, Spirits and more is avaliable to view and purchase in-store, and our friendly team are able to help with any questions you may have, or reccomendations you may need! The Waiheke Wine Centre team love Waiheke Island and they have a vast amount of local knowledge and work closely with the vineyards and local food suppliers. Their passion is the joy of fine wine and foods, interesting places and people.
