Tasting Notes:
Bordering the old Waiheke Air Strip this vineyard produces world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Planted when his children were barely walking, winemaker John Dunleavy’s vines have matured over two decades and – like his sons – bring their own unique character to this wine.
The 2021 vintage was aged 18 months in seasoned oak, then 6 months in tank for clarity and polish. The Strip will continue to improve over time with careful cellaring.
