Man O War
Nestled on the rugged eastern shores of Waiheke Island, Man O’ War Vineyard is a place where history, nature, and world-class winemaking collide. Established in 1993, this iconic estate spans rolling vineyards, olive groves, and native forests, producing exceptional wines that showcase the island’s unique terroir.
Renowned for its Syrah, Chardonnay, and signature Bordeaux blends, Man O’ War also crafts a vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, an elegant Pinot Gris, and their (infamous) Rosé. With 75 vineyards spread across the farm, each bottle tells the story of dedication, exploration, and a deep respect for the land.
Steeped in history, the name “Man O’ War” dates back to early navigators who recognized the towering Kauri trees—ideal for naval warship masts. Today, the vineyard continues that legacy, creating wines with strength, character, and a true sense of place.

Our Waiheke Store
Located in the main town and heart of Waiheke Island, Oneroa, our store is a must-visit for anyone coming to the island. Our full range of Wine, Beer, Spirits and more is avaliable to view and purchase in-store, and our friendly team are able to help with any questions you may have, or reccomendations you may need! The Waiheke Wine Centre team love Waiheke Island and they have a vast amount of local knowledge and work closely with the vineyards and local food suppliers. Their passion is the joy of fine wine and foods, interesting places and people.
