Due to the huge popularity (and scarcity) of the Miro Vineyard Viognier up to now they have only been able to offer it by the bottle on their restaurant wine list.
So when the opportunity arose for them to buy some pristine Viognier grapes from a top grower in Gisborne they said 'yes please'. This Viognier is made in the style of their estate Viognier, with good acidity and classically expressive aromatics. A small portion (10%) goes through malolactic fermentation and is aged in oak, which gives the wine wonderful texture and weight.
A finely balanced, full-bodied white with a nose of honeysuckle and bright stonefruit flavours.
